CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The approach encompasses the philosophy of Danish Power Limited (DPL) towards corporate social responsibility and lays down the guidelines and mechanism for undertaking socially relevant programs for sustainable development of the community at large and also to comply with all the local regulations in that regard.
OBJECTIVES
DPL has embarked upon the process of institutionalizing its commitment to being socially responsible with the aim of sustainable development of the society. The purpose of this program is to define the company’s vision, guiding principles, governance structures, strategy and programs for its corporate social responsibility efforts.

The program applies to the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the Company.

To commit for enhanced value-creation of the society, stakeholders and the communities we live in, by taking up activities and initiatives for sustainable growth of the society, the safety and well being of workers been deeply committed to socio-economic development in its areas of operation.

The company decided to work with the most underprivileged section of the society and undertook engagement programs to understand the needs of the underprivileged from the company’s CSR interventions.
The company has taken up the following need-based programs aligned to the activities listed in Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013 during the financial year 2023-24:
WATER & SANITATION
Keeping in mind the importance of Hygiene, four new washrooms for girls have been constructed in a Government School, Sukpuriya, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur
EDUCATION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT
DPL has taken up a project in partnership with a Non-Profit Organization- ‘I Create’ to create livelihood opportunities for our society's underprivileged women by Entrepreneurship Development Workshops accompanied by mentoring the beneficiaries in setting up their business till the time they can sustain on their own.
HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT
Under this domain, DPL has taken sponsorship of eight children in SOS Children’s Villages of India for one full year and also contributed to the medical treatment of one girl child having cerebral palsy.
PMNRF/ CM RELIEF FUND FOR COVID-19
DPL extends a helping hand to the country as well as the state to combat the COVID-19 crisis by contributing to the CM and PM Relief Fund for COVID-19.
PROTECTING PLANET
As the world gears up for protecting the planet's natural environment, we have initiated our bit to support and fight against the environmental challenges by being a part of the WWF, India family that protects endangered species and landscapes across the country.
EXTENDING SUPPORT DURING COVID-19
In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, we did our little part to help counter the pandemic by providing relief to the workers under Sitapura Industrial Association and distributing food packets with Round Table Group.
The CSR programs are implemented and monitored by the members of the task force DPL-CSR at each of the program locations. Program managers maintain their monitoring schedule, collect the necessary inputs from organizations, implementing partners and beneficiaries to ensure each project is implemented effectively.
